Light winds and a frustrating wait for the wind . . .
Posted On:  28/12/2009 10:59:44 AM
A nice sunny day greeted the competitors arriving at the event site for day 5 of the European Championship. Unfortunately it was also light winds, but at least the waves and swell had also disappeared. Eventually the wind was enough to call out the under 15 fleet and the under 17 girls. Only one race was possible before the wind dropped and the racers were sent back to the beach. Eventually the race officer decided to cancel racing for the day; and we look forward to the final day and a promising wind forecast.

A new winner in each fleet - Evgeny Ayrazgan RUS 3 (u15 boys); Marta Maggetti ITA 157 (u15 girls); Monika Kraszewska POL 120 (u17 girls)
