The 2018 Techno Plus Asian Championships is also part of the annual Singapore Windsurfing Open - now in its 37th year! 61 competitors from 14 countries have registered - including  one boy from Italy and one girl from Norway enjoying the opportunity to gain experience at international competition level.

HKG has already qualified for the Youth Olympic Games leaving 11 Asian countries to compete for the remaining 3 qualification places in both boy and girl windsurfer events in Buenos Aries. Nevertheless, a strong HKG team are taking part for the experience.

4 days of racing with 12 races to complete a full series are scheduled.  The forecast is "unusually" good, with wind every day. This is usually the windiest period of the North-east Monsoon so everyone is hoping for some really exciting racing in 12 to 20 knots wind off the East Coast of Singapore.  It has certainly been an exceptionally windy week leading up to these Championships!

Stay tuned!
