Two important meetings during T293 Europeans
Tuesday 2nd January at 10.00 an "Equipment Inspection Seminar" will discuss the role of Inspectors and explore in greater depth the Class Rules as they relate to the Approved Rig Scheme. It is important that anyone wishing to become a class approved Inspector attends ; a stepping stone to an application to ISAF for International status. A survey of sails will be conducted throughout the championships; attendees will be expected to assist with this project.

At 19.00 on Wednesday 3rd January (not 2nd as originally published) an open meeting with representatives of the Organisers of the 2007 Worlds in Formentera, and class officials. Detailed info about the venue, travel and accommodation, will be made available.
"Board width" rule for slalom boards
After consulting PWA and the IFCA Executive the decision was taken NOT to change the "Board width" rule for slalom boards from 2007 onwards.
IFCA and the development of freestyle
From 2007 IFCA will focus the European Championships and Title on a single event, with next year's championship already scheduled for Bredene, Belgium from 1st to 4th August..

Application for Recognised status rejected by ISAF Council
Council rejected the application from the Mistral Prodigy Class for Recognised status.
Application for International status rejected by ISAF Council
Council rejected the application from Techno 293 Class for International status.

Euro Cup 2006 report and final rankings

EFPT 2006 Season End Report

World Speed Sailing Record Attempt 2006
The 2006 record attempt is over! Although we missed the big goal to break the 50 knots barrier, this event was extremly successful, with three world records broken, another two production world records, 19 national records and 14 personal best speeds achieved over the distances of 500m and the nautical mile.
All record claims are now forwarded to the WSSRC for ratification.
