PETER KRIMBACHER (AUT) ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE IWA
In a recent meeting of ISAF Windsurfing class chairmen and elected representatives at the London Boat Show, Peter Krimbacher (AUT) was elected to fulfil the rotating role of President of the International Windsurfing Association for 2004. 2004 WINDSURF GRAND PRIX RACING AND SLALOM CIRCUITS
Both the International Funboard Class and the International Formula Windsurfing Class have healthy and growing tours in Europe. However, both Classes realise that in order to continue to develop windsurf racing, there is a need to widen the accessibility, scope and quality, of their events in other parts of the World.

IFCA IS SERIOUS ABOUT DEVELOPING FREESTYLE TALENT
The International Funboard Class has got together with DMG Marketing Services GmbH and Positive Lines GmbH to create the 2004 European Freestyle Pro-Tour by putting together more than 10 events with a total of more than Euro100, 000 of prize money.

LIST OF EQUIPMENT PUT FORWARD FOR ISAF EVALUATION
The ISAF Olympic Windsurfing Equipment Evaluation Event, to be held on Lake Garda, Italy from 3-6 May 2004 has attracted six manufacturers with eight designs of equipment. In addition, there are currently two manufacturers, whose applications are being processed.

IMCO AGM TO BE HELD AT THE EUROPEANS
This will enable the class to make firmer plans for the future knowing, if only through the rumour mill, what took place at the ISAF Evaluation Trials scheduled to take place in May in Torbole, Lake Garda.
Naturally a draft Agenda will be published at the beginning of May but this notice should be taken as the official advanced notification of the meeting. Those who wish to put forward a submission for discussion should do so by April 30th 2004
CHANGES TO THE ISAF ANTI-DOPING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
There have been several changes made within ISAF to the Anti-Doping policies and procedures. ISAF Regulation 21 - Anti-Doping Code has been completely revised following a template, which all International Sports Federations are now using.

Copies of the DVD of the 2003 Mistral World Championship in Cadiz are available from the Andalusian Sailing Federation. Calema Midwinter's selected for the 2004 North American Formula Championships
The hugely successful Midwinters event hosted by Calema Windsurfing Inc. (School and Pro shop) from Merritt Island, Florida has been selected for the 2004 Formula Windsurfing North American Championships. Pre-NoR for the Raceboard Worlds and Masters Europeans published (May 15th>21st)
Following on from the very successful Mistral Europeans in 2003, the Club Albaria will be hosting the Raceboard Worlds and Masters Europeans during the World Festival on the Beach in May 2004. Here's an excellent chill our zone for all you people who have stressful lifestyles whether they involve offices or Olympic qualifications (not). There will be some course races, a marathon and Albaria also plan to stage a 'Windsurfer Legend Race 2004' for Master competitors too, sailed on the old Windsurfer board and including a longboard Slalom competition. IFCA World Championships, Guincho, Portugal, (22nd>26th August 2004)
The International Funboard Class Association is very pleased to return to Portugal Guincho for the World Championships FreeWave 2004. In 2000 the IFCA World Wave Championships were organised for the first time in Portugal. This was the first time that one of the international windsurf classes put their trust and a major event in the hands of Overpower. They did not let us down. It was perfect.

WSSRC ratifies a new world record of 46.24knots on the 500 metre course
John Reed, Secretary to the World Sailing Speed Record Council has announced the ratification of a new World Record of 46.24 knots on the 500 Metre Course which was established in a 10 Sq M Class Windsurfer at Les Saintes Maries de la Mer by Finian Maynard of the British Virgin Islands on December 3, 2003.

Nik Baker is UK Indoor Windsurfing Champion
Nik Baker won the first UK indoor windsurfing championships, winning a car from Honda and cash prize. Although dominant from the start, Nik didn't have it all his own way, Ben Proffitt almost caused an upset and was the only person to beat Nik in a slalom heat. Sail Melbourne Olympic And Invited Classes
Faustine MERRET (FRA) was announced the winner of the Women's Mistral class at the Sail Melbourne Regatta on Port Phillip Bay. Julien BONTEMPS (FRA) took the Mistral Men's title.

Tom takes it by one point!... Now its up to the NZL selectors
With Ashley and Wells on equal points leading into the final race the pressure was on. Current IMCO Youth World Champion, 19 year old Devonport sailor Tom Ashley was the eventual winner of the trial, a mere one point ahead of James Wells, with Jon-Paul Tobin a further four points behind. http://www.imco.org/page0001v01news193.htm
Aloha Special General Meeting
At a meeting of the Aloha Class Association during the Schroders London Boat Show members re affirmed their commitment to the development of Junior racing .
