PWA Rule 12 declared unfair and unreasonable by ISAF
Posted On:  05/04/2004
A number of ISAF Windsurfing Classes have made ISAF aware of PWA rule #12 which prohibits PWA members from competing in windsurfing events other than PWA events.

The Windsurfing Committee of ISAF felt that this rule is unfair and unreasonable and also felt that this has a negative effect on the development of the sport. The Committee does not agree that an organisation or class within our sport can keep its members from competing in events of a different class or organisation. This also goes against established principles within the International Sailing Federation.

The Windsurfing Committee feels strongly that the PWA should address this issue and take steps to change this rule.
