Youth Europeans - Day 2
Zofia stumbled today ! Relatively speaking of course She finished 4th in the 2nd race of the day. Marina Alabau (ESP 5) benefitted from taking the first discard and from a good performance finishing 1st and 2nd today to jump to 2nd in the overall standings. Chan Wai man (HKG 26) has slipped to 3rd as a result.

There seems no way back for Yu Wing Ho (HKG 22). The 2003 ISAF Youth World Champion has certainly met his nemesis in Byron Kokkalanis (GRE 8) who scored a 3rd today and discarded his 2nd result which was an 18th! Tom Ashley (NZL 181) also had a bad one (19th) in the first race of the day but made up for it in the second with a bullet. Second overall now, he leads Kamil Topka by 13 points!

Day 2- Masters Europeans
Paco scores another two bullets in a building breeze. The first race of the day got under way just before 1130hrs in 8 > 10 knots of wind and bright sunshine. Paco Wirz (ITA1), barring some unforeseen natural disaster will definitely be standing on the top step of the podium next Saturday night. Perhaps its time for a few more Olympians like Mike Gebhardt and Bruce Kendall to come and join us if only to give Paco a good race !

Back in the pack where the mere mortals can be found, Paul Leone (GBR 1111) put in a first and a 13th today. Having taken his first discard, he retains 2nd place overall. Jean Asia (FRA 1711) had a good day scoring a 2nd and a 5th to take 3rd overall after discarding his first race 9th place. Jean is also the first Grand Master, well ahead of his countryman Pierre Beck (FRA 85).

Junior Europeans - Day 2
Close racing at the top of the boys and the girls fleets Lukasz Grodzicki (POL738) climbed to the top of the leader board in the boys fleet thanks to scoring two first places in the racing today. Kamil Lewandowski (POL 184) took a second in the first race and a 9th in the second which he thankfully used as his first discard. These two are tied on 4 points each with Nimrod Mashich (ISR 21) and Maxime Duboy (FRA 93) tied on 13 points each taking up 3rd and 4th spot respectively!

Much the same story in the girls fleet. Maayan Davidovich (ISR 10) scored a perfect wo in two races today to climb to the top spot in her fleet . Nikki van Riel (NED 43) had to carry a 20% penalty in the first race of the day (12points) but recoverd to take 2nd in the last race of the day. The two are therefore tied on 5 points each. Anielle Guyader (FRA 3) is just two points behind them in 3rd.
