| Mondello, Sicily, Italy - May 15th-21st 2004
An International Windsurfing Association sanctioned event
The Raceboard World Championship will be held together with the Raceboard Masters Europeans in Mondello, Sicily from May 15th-21st. The event will form part of the World Festival on the Beach, which is staged annually by the Albaria Club and is now in its 19th year!
Just remember those great windsurfing events way back in the old days before it all got oh so serious and prize money orientated! The parties every night; the great times; and the camaraderie; Windsurfing was certainly a lifestyle then!
Well, believe it or not, its all still happening in Mondello every year in just the same way; Relax in the morning sunshine in the café on the beach; take a coffee; check out the scenery; your equipment is stored only two steps away so need to stress over that; racing starts at 1200hrs; then its out there for 2 course races or a long distance; these guys are good (they are after all competing for an ISAF sanctioned World title!), so do not take anything for granted on the water; then back to the beach; take a shower and prepare for the evenings entertainment! Yeah! It goes off every night! You’d better believe it!
And to round off the event on Friday afternoon, we have organised a lavish prize giving ceremony to crown the winners and recognise others with some special prizes.

She’ll also arrange for you and your kit to be picked up at the airport just 20 minutes away by car.
By the way, if you are feeling energetic, you can take part in the Sicily Grand Prix and Nations Cup, which takes place over the weekend of May 22nd/23rd. May be you will even bump into a few legends too; old friends will be taking part in the Windsurfer Legends Race, which Albaria are staging during the World Festival on the beach.
