| Welcome to Drobak - Norway 27-29 may 2005
Over 100 competitors from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic countries are expected to battle for the title of Nordic Championship in Formula Windsurfing & Freestyle the weekend 27-29 May.
Event host is Drobak Sailing Club, one of the countries most experienced regatta organizers. The event website is available at http://www.dssf.no/nom/ with online registration, info on how to get there, accommodation and more.
The Freestyle event will be managed by Danish professional Lars Petersen. This spectacular discipline will be held close to the beach, so all the action is available for spectators.
The Formula disciplines is executed on an narrow section on the Oslo fjord, thermal winds funneling trough the fjord provide excellent conditions for sailing competitions. Proffesionals like Brian Rogild, Jesper Vesterstrom is expected to set the standard of competition. And the current interest for the discipline is close to the hey days in the 80’s.
The Nordic Championships is an open event, so entries from any countries are welcome. Additional to the Nordic Cup, it is an International Level 3 event in the World Cup rankings.

Non windsurfing activities
For those not competing there is activities on the beach and local bands play live at night.
Charming city Drobak & Son is also worth an visit, and capital Oslo only minutes away.
